Oconto Sportsmen’s Club Youth Day

Bring the kids out for an afternoon of outdoor fun at the Oconto Sportsmen’s Club Youth Day on Saturday, August 29, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Youth can try a variety of hands-on activities, including hay wagon rides, a bow range, pellet gun range, trap shooting, canoe rides, fishing and the rubber duck pond. Food and prizes will also be available throughout the event.

The event will be held at the Oconto Sportsmen’s Club, 605 Wedgewood Avenue, located at the end of Fifth Street in Oconto.

It’s a great opportunity for young people to spend time outdoors, learn new skills and enjoy a fun day with family and friends.

16th Annual Cemetery Walk: If Tombstones Could Talk

Step back in time as six fascinating figures from Oconto County’s past are brought to life by local actors. Presented by the Oconto County Historical Society, this annual event shares the stories of both well-known residents and lesser-known individuals who helped shape the community.

This year’s featured lineup includes Rose Brown, Elizabeth “Libby” Brazeau, Josephine “Josie” Cook, Milton “Squirrel” Carriveau, George Parker and the Honorable John Wiebusch.

The Cemetery Walk will begin at 6 p.m. on September 14 and 15 at the Oconto Catholic Cemetery, 3024 N. River Road. A special auditorium presentation will be held at 6 p.m. on September 16 at the Oconto High School Auditorium, 1717 Superior Avenue.

Tickets are $15 and go on sale August 1 at the Beyer Home Museum Carriage Office, 917 Park Avenue in Oconto. The office is open from noon to 4 p.m. Tickets are limited and traditionally sell quickly.

Nercon Named Presenting Sponsor of Harvest Fest 2026 with $10,000 Contribution

OCONTO, WI – The Oconto Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce Nercon as the Presenting Sponsor of Harvest Fest 2026, making a significant $10,000 contribution to help bring one of Oconto’s largest annual community celebrations to life.

Harvest Fest will take place on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Main Street in Oconto. This year’s event features extended hours, giving visitors even more time to enjoy everything the festival has to offer.

With more than 150 vendors lining Main Street, attendees can explore a wide variety of handmade crafts, original artwork, specialty products, local businesses, and food vendors. The event will also feature a popular car show and a full lineup of family-friendly activities, including inflatable bouncers, pumpkin bowling, a corn pit, plinko, a scavenger hunt, and much more.
