The Oconto River and Green Bay, both known for great fishing, are accessible from Breakwater Park and Holtwood Park and Campground. Holtwood Park is located along the bank of the Oconto River and offers a variety of recreational activities.

The 27TH Annual “Lights of Love” Tree sponsored by the Oconto Area Chamber of Commerce is now accepting names. Names submitted by FRIDAY, November 9th will be placed on the signage in the manger in Winter Wonderland Park. The park will be lit on Friday, November 23rd at 5:00 P.M. Mail your names with $2.00 per name either “In Memory of” or “In Honor of” to: “Lights of Love” 301 Acorn Ct Oconto, WI 54153 For questions, call 920-835-5348. Forms will be found in the Oconto County Reporter on 10/10/18 and 10/24/18 and in the Beacon on 10/14/18 and 11/9/18

December 1Christmas Parade and Santa’s VisitThe Oconto Area Chamber of Commerce will sponsor its Annual Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 1st at 4:00 P.M. The Chamber is looking for businesses or individuals who would like to enter a float in the parade, a vehicle, or a group to walk. Any participation is welcome. Please contact Kathy or Ron at 920-373-7377 or 920-835-5348 if you are interested. If any group would like to sing Christmas carols in Freedom Park on that day, contact the above numbers. Santa will visit with the children at City Hall from 2:00-3:30P.M. before the parade.
