2024 Events

Mayhem at the Motorplex – May 18-19: Two days of off-road racing at Dirt City Motorplex.

Copperfest – June 7-9: Oconto Copperfest Celebration at Copperfest/American Legion Post 74 Park corner of Arbutus and Madison in Oconto.  The parade on Saturday starts at 10 am on Main Street. Lots of entertainment the entire three-day weekend.

Waterfest – July 3: Celebrate the 4th of July in Oconto with a bang from 4 pm to 11 pm! The Oconto Elks are hosting the annual “Waterfest” with live music, kid’s activities, food, and refreshments starting at 4 pm. At 10:00 pm, the fireworks display will light up the sky at the Oconto Breakwater Park & Harbor. Boaters can anchor on the Oconto River or by the mouth of the Bay for the perfect view!

Dirt-City Off-Road National – July 27th & 28th – Off road racing at Dirt City Motorplex in Lena, WI.

Elks Fly-In – September 21: At 9 am, Oconto County’s high-flying heritage will be displayed during the Oconto Elks Fly-In 2024 at Oconto J. Douglas Bake Municipal Airport (KOCQ). On Saturday, September 21, at KOCQ, the event will feature an array of family-friendly activities and experiences, including flyovers, historic aircraft and automobiles on display, and local food & craft vendors.

Harvest Fest – September 28: Oconto’s downtown will spring to life for Harvest Fest, the city’s annual autumn celebration, on Saturday, September 28, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. On the long-anticipated day of Harvest Fest every year, Oconto closes Main Street to vehicles but opens the street to vendors and foot traffic. Harvest Fest is located on Main Street from Michigan Avenue to Millidge Avenue. Everyone is welcome! No admission fees are charged.

Santa’s Visit – December 21: Santa will be coming to the Shop on Main, 821 Main Street, Oconto. The Chamber of Commerce will have crafts and activities for the kids to enjoy while they wait for Santa.
